Macro & Rates Overview
As of the latest update, economic data continues to support the prevailing narrative of a controlled deceleration in the U.S. economy. The Federal Reserve's recent pause in rate changes aligns with market expectations, as the Fed Funds Rate remains at 4.50%. Market-implied probabilities now favor a rate cut by the December 2025 meeting, with further easing expected into early 2026 .
The 10-Year yield began the week at 4.239%, while short-term yields (e.g., 1-Month T-Bill) held at 4.306%.

Inflation and Labor
Headline CPI and Core CPI continue to trend toward the Federal Reserve's 2% target, with Core CPI currently at 2.8% YoY. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate remains historically low at 4.1%, and wage growth remains positive, supporting consumer demand despite tighter credit conditions.
Commercial Real Estate & REITs
Real estate capital markets remain mixed. The Residential REIT sector saw modest gains, while Mortgage REITs continue to offer double-digit yields, reflecting elevated credit risk premiums. Homebuilders rebounded as the iShares U.S. Home Construction ETF (ITB) rose 3.2% week-over-week .

Commodities
Gold edged up to $3,352/oz, maintaining strength amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties. Oil futures hovered near $67.75/barrel, with slight pressure from softening demand forecasts. Silver rose 2.6% on the week, largely tracking industrial demand momentum.
Bitcoin & Digital Assets
Bitcoin is trading at approximately $113,597.00 USD, down marginally on the week. Investor sentiment remains cautious amid low summer volumes and tightening liquidity across risk assets. However, institutional flows into Bitcoin ETFs remain stable, offering longer-term support for pricing stability.
